Australia’s Battery Rebate Is Coming!
If the Federal Labor Government has committed to launching a $2.3 billion Cheaper Home Batteries Program from 1 July 2025. This initiative could reduce the cost of home batteries by up to 30% - saving households, small businesses, and community organisations up to $4,000 on installation costs.
The rebate will be available through the existing Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES), the same system that has successfully delivered solar rebates for over a decade. This means customers can access upfront discounts through a familiar, efficient process.
